Hello and welcome to my blog!
My name is Andrea. I am a 20-year-old junior in college at Marquette University, studying to become a Sports Agent.
Throughout my life, sports have consistently been my biggest source of happiness and my escape. As an infant, my dad would put me in my swing, in front of Milwaukee Bucks' games on TV whenever I was getting too fussy. Throughout grade school, I was known for my obsession with the Milwaukee Brewers, and began working at their stadium heading into my senior year of high school. Throughout elementary school, I played basketball, hoping to one day play on the women's team at Marquette. I did not achieve that goal, quitting basketball in middle school out of pure social anxiety. However, I did spend my first year and a half of college at Bradley University, managing the men's basketball team, head coached by Marquette alum, Brian Wardle. Now, as a junior, I have transferred to Marquette University, and will hopefully be managing the women's basketball team. Sooo close enough, right?
Heading into college, I was dead set on being a sideline reporter in Major League Baseball. Working with the men's basketball team at Bradley and getting to work with athletes as people vs. working with them as celebrities changed my mind. That, combined with my viewing of the film "What Men Want" starring Taraji P. Henson, led me to focus on studying to become a Sports Agent.
I still love sports journalism, and love writing about sports, so I figured this blog could be a good outlet for that. This blog will consist of rants and rambles about life and sports. I will keep you updated on the good, the bad, and the ugly in Wisconsin sports and sports in general, as well as in my own life as I journey through my career.
Thank you for reading and I hope you join me on this adventure!
